Welcome To Helena Valley Timing Association

Thanks once again goes out to the Helena area residents and all the car show participants for another great year.  The 7th annual Blast From the Past car show was a great success.  So may good people and so many great cars make it a very special event. The participants have worked so hard to build these vehicles and are quite proud of them as they should be. We at The Helena Valley Timing Association want to say how proud we are of the participants and their hard work. We look forward to seeing all of you again this year for another great show.We are scheduled this year (2013) for June 28-30, 2013. 

Blast From the Past Winners

This year (2013) we will again be auctioning refrigerators which are customized and painted by local body shops. These are beautiful items and the auction has been a huge success! View the Auction Items here!

Friday, June 28 - Kickoff

We will begin the weekend at Red Lion Colonial Hotel, 2301 Colonial Drive, for our kickoff party Friday June 28th.  
Come down and meet old friends and get the weekend started. There will be an exhaust pipe flame thrower contest later in the evening.
 
Registration will be available from 3 to 9 PM.
 
Kickoff Party starts at 5 PM with live music and the flame thrower contest.

Saturday, June 29 - Show & Shine

The Show and Shine will happen on Saturday, June 29th at the beautiful Broadwater grounds West of Helena. Gates will open at noon for the public and the admission is $5.00 per person and kids under 12 are free. The proceeds always go toward our scholarship fund.  Participant registration will also be available at the grounds from 7:30 AM to 1 PM.  Come early and get a good spot under one of the large shade trees. It will be a fun day…

Sunday, June 30 - Drag races

They will be held at the Helena Regional Airport.  We will have signs and markers and maps available to the participants and public at Saturdays show & shine car show. Tentative schedule looks like this:

• Fee to race is $25 per car and you can race that car as much as time will allow
• Public admission is $5 per person at the gate with kids under 12 free
• Car show participants are admitted free to the grounds but must pay the race fee if racing.
• DOT approved helmets are a standard requirement for racers as well as seat belts.  Motorcycle races must have helmet and full set of leathers to race.

Feature race cars include Donna Kraus Great Falls MT Diesel Dragster, Dave Spease Bonners Ferry ID Blown Hemi Altered, Chuck Roark Great Falls MT Blown Alcohol Altered, Bob Loague Ulm MT Blown Alcohol Dragster, Scott "Griz" Spencer Great Falls MT Nitro Harley.

We are looking forward to a great show this year and we want to invite all those people who like to view some beautiful cars and those who like the action of the drags to join us for a blast of a weekend.

Participant Registration: NOTE: Participants are people bringing cars to show and race. General admission tickets for the public are sold at the gate. 1. *Pre Register for Car Show before June 15th $20.00 2. *Register for Car Show after June 15th $25.00 3. Extra Car(s) $5.00/car 4. Overnight Camping $10.00/spot

*Participant Registration includes one automoble and admittance to the drag race, show & shine, dash plaque, entertainment and BBQ for two. You may add additional cars for $5.00/car. Additional cars recieve admittance to show & shine and a dash plaque. There will be a $100 long distance award sponsored by Nickels so let us know how many miles you have driven to the event.
